Dr. Evans-Winters is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations with a background in Sociology and Anthropology of Education. She currently teaches in the area of Social Foundations of Education. Dr. Evans-Winters recent book is Teaching black girls: Resiliency in urban classrooms (2011), and she has published several book chapters and articles.
